My mind is full.

No…my mind is bursting at its seams.

2020 filled my mind, my heart, my soul, more than any other year in a way that I never knew I could be fueled. And there is one reason why…

QUALITY CONTENT

I committed to not just creating…but consuming quality content to be more impactful in brand and content strategy development. Little did I know that all this quality content would have just as much impact on me and my behaviours as it did on the quality of my work.

While there are SO MANY AWESOME LISTENS out there, these are my top 5 podcasts from 2020. Enjoy the tastiness for your brain!

Awesome Business Podcast 1 – All About Hope

Hope Motivates Action by Lindsay Recknell. Lindsay is an expert in hope. That’s right – hope! There’s a science to it! Right from Episode 1, Season 1 Lindsay will challenge you to change your relationship with the word hope by simply saying, “Hope without action is just a wish.

Awesome Business Podcast 2 – All About Financial Connection

More than Money with Jacquentte Timmons. A financial behaviourist, Jacquette speaks to the heart of every entrepreneur so eloquently about our relationship with money. She shares her own stories as a business owner, while encouraging listeners to view their money strengths, along with how we relate to it in a larger sense. In particular for my business owner heart, her episode “What You Should Know About Capitalism Before You Destroy It” captured the inner confusion of what I was feeling about capitalism in reality versus theory and my own business (and what to do about it).

Awesome Business Podcast 3 – All About Self Impact

Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. Ooph – if you want to have your entire mindset challenged, then this is the podcast that will do that. The ideas captured, leaders highlighted, and inspiration to simply see yourself differently because of the stories shared are priceless. One of my favourite episodes that helped me combat the whole “rah rah! Just be positive!” culture frustration is Episode 161: Trevor Moawad on How to Control Your Negative Thoughts. The gist? Speak neutral words; don’t say the negative thoughts. No need to go all positive when you simply aren’t there. Listen to oooohhhhh so many more episodes on:

Awesome Business Podcast 4 – All About the Nitty Gritty

Armchair Expert with Dax Shephard. Dax and his co-host, Monica Padman, get right down to the nitty-gritty details of life. From addiction to politics, to mindset and anti-racism leaders, and everything in between, this podcast has content for everyone…everyone willing to go through the messy chaos of life that is.

Unsurprisingly, Angela Duckworth’s, author of Grit, an episode a favourite. But not because of Angela…fangirling and all. It’s because of Monica. She highlighted a new understanding of what our purpose could be…and relief is how I instantly felt. The search for purpose ended. And that’s all I’ll say. Have a listen
